Mathew 19:16-26.
Beloved in Christ Jesus.
We started this insight into our Lord's sayings to us.
We will continue from yesterday's teaching.
Going back a bit: We are made to understand that a rich young ruler came to our Lord asking Him what he should do to inherit the kingdom of God.
After the Lord referred him to the ten commandments, the young man was glad to let the Lord know that all those commandments has been operating in his life from youth.
He was however sad and he left the Lord when the Lord asked him to go and sell all that he had and give ALL to the poor.
Meeting this condition, the Lord says, would have given him an open door to glory.
The Lord beholding the rich young ruler, said something that startled His disciples. He said that:
“ It is easier for a camel to pass through the eyes of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God”
They had to ask Him, “Who can then be saved ?"
If you were there, what kind of question would you ask?
Probably the same. Isn’t it so? That It is really impossible for a camel [as tall as the camel is] to pass through the eyes of the needle. Really impossible.
An ant can’t even make it through the eyes of a needle never mind anything bigger.
The rich young ruler believed that the Lord was a “good man” but nothing more. If he had known more, he would have asked the Lord to show him how this could be done. Remember that “all things” were made by Jesus.
He made the needle to be so small that it is sometimes difficult to pick it out even in the daylight. He also made the camel to be so big.
The power is with him. He is God.
The bottom line of this is that: This same God has the ability to make the needle so big that the camel, as big as it is, would have passed through as if on a high-way. Yes it is possible.
WHATEVER GOD WANTS YOU TO DO WILL ALWAYS BE IMPOSSIBLE WITH MEN!
Remember his word in verse 26.
“With men it is impossible, but with God all things are possible”
WHATEVER GOD ASKS US TO DO WILL ONLY BE POSSIBLE WITH HIM AND IN HIM! Amen?
To obey the word of God takes God.
The flesh is only good at sinning. Nothing more.
1. For a complete man, without a problem in his body, to stay without sin. It would take God to do that. It is not possible physically. But since God has said that we should not fornicate, lie, steal, bear false witness, and given other wonderful commandments. If we abide in Him, it will be POSSIBLE. Because “with men this shall be impossible…” but possible with God.”
Dearly beloved, know it for sure that God does not expect you to obey Him in your own strength. We are to go back to Him, relying on Him to help us live the holy live that pleases Him.
The message today is:
WHATEVER GOD HAS SPOKEN TO YOU TO DO TO HIS GLORY WILL ALWAYS BE IMPOSSIBLE WITH MEN. {whosoever the man is}
WHATEVER GOD HAS SPOKEN TO YOU OR IN HIS WORD WILL ONLY BE POSSIBLE THROUGH HIM. Amen.
